40 Days for Life Kick-off

Get pumped up to get active in this powerful campaign by Bryan Kemper, the founder of Stand True Ministries: a Christ-centered pro-life group determined to awaken the youth of this country and share the message of life and the Gospel of Christ.  Some of Students for Life members at UWF like to wear their artistic pro-life t-shirts.  Our group also participates in the Silent Day of Solidarity started by Stand True as a peaceful and dramatic way to draw attention to the millions of unborn who are silenced from abortion.

Bryan Kemper has an amazing testimony to share about how he came to know Jesus and how this new encounter dramatically changed his life and made him devote his life to pro-life ministry.  If you want to listen to someone who has literally been there and done that and been transformed by the grace of God and is now a powerful proponent in the pro-life movement, there is no better opportunity than this Saturday!

Hope your summers have been good for you all. Before school starts, we have some great opportunities to reconnect with your Teens for Life friends and help save lives from abortion.

TODAY: 6:15 PM, we have an officer meeting for Teens for Life. No, you don’t have to be an officer to come. Please bring your ideas and help. We’ll be making decorations for the pro-life banquet (Aug 27th) and we need your help! We’ll have snacks and drinks provided. If you didn’t come to the last meeting and need directions to my house (where the officers meetings are held) just email us.

TOMORROW: 8AM, we are going to pray in front of the AMS abortion clinic which is behind Hobby Lobby on Davis Hwy.

Please meet us in front of Hobby Lobby at 7:50AM (6235 N Davis Hwy Pensacola, FL 32504 ) and we will walk to the abortion clinic to pray. Bring friends, bring siblings, bring your rosary/prayer book/bible whatever will help you intercede for the unborn and their parents. When people pray in front of the abortion clinics, lives are saved and hearts change!

Hi, this is Bernadette, the new director of Teens for Life.  I am so honored to become the new leader of this group, as I have already witnessed your courage and conviction on the front lines battling against the culture of death!  Your energy and passion for life is inspiring, and it reminds me of the first time I dipped my foot into the pro-life mission field.

As a junior in Pace High, I remember having the strong desire to stand up for the weak.  One time, after my mom had told me what abortion was and that there was an abortion mill in Pensacola, I decided to stop there and pray for the unborn.  Doing that made me feel so strong, so fulfilled, so close to Christ.  After being scolded by my mom to never do that alone again (oops), I began to really desire to become part of a pro-life group so I could safely pray in front of abortion clinics and help save lives.

I think that being teens, we want to do something BIG.  We want to make an imprint; put our strength and energy toward something meaningful.   I can tell you without a doubt that you are doing something that is truly changing the world.  The prayers you pray, the help you offer, the witness to hope and love you bring to the darkest place on earth have consequences that surpass this life.  Any of you want to see the movie “Captain America?” (or “American Man” as I might say… lol)  Skip that, you all are “Super Teens.”  Remember that, you are living heroes – not fictional ones with silly skin-tight suits and underwear on the outside – but everyday saints.

With that said, we have a mission ahead of us, and we need planning.  Two weeks from now, 6PM Friday July 15th, we will be meeting at my house for a pizza party/meet-n-greet/planning meeting.  We will be discussing one VERY exciting event coming up this August in which our group has been hand-picked to be a part of!  All you have to do is:

We hope to gather as many teens as we can on August 24th to stand near our polling sites and to bring awareness to voters about their candidates and the issues.  Please click on ‘calendar’ for location and time.

We held our first ever ‘Solidarity Saturday’ in front of the AMS of Pensacola abortion facility.  With love and prayer we came together to witness to the dignity and worth of all life.  Please see ‘calendar’ for more details on our next Solidarity Saturday to be held on Aug. 21st.  All are invited to come out and join us!
